Listen to Queen – I want it all and I want it now. The make-use-dump economy is a consequence. Light years from the sackcloth and ashes future, that sustainability paints.

Will a single mother bringing up her family in a leaking shack insist on fair trade organic cotton for her kids t-shirts, never mind the hefty price premium? 

Will corporates ask shareholders to trade lower dividends for less carbon emissions?

The evidence says not. We’re blowing past our planet’s capacity to sustain us. 

For the world’s 99%, sustainability offers little hope. Little motivation.

It may be a step in the right direction; but it’s not a destination. 

We need to:-

  • stop preaching sustainability as an end game
  • start promoting regeneration as a mindset, and celebrating it in practice

We need to turn the greatest challenge of our time, to our greatest opportunity.
